Leading the Way
Transportation Trends
Every year, John Wayne Airport examines the latest environmental, social and transportation trends
so we can adopt the modern conveniences today’s travelers crave. In 2015, we established
relationships with Transportation Networking Companies (TNCs) Uber, Lyft and Wingz. In 2016, we
restructured our contracts with taxi companies, enabling them to more effectively compete with these
popular rideshare options while still providing a valuable service to guests.
Real-Time Technologies—
for Real-World Convenience
-
Thanks to a new feature on our website, people can now view the capacity of each JWA parking facility before they arrive—enabling them to find availability, make better decisions and save time.
-
Tracking a flight—and timing its arrival—can be easily done from our website, which is continually updated and expanded to stay ahead of customer demands.
-
Guests who arrive at John Wayne Airport can now choose from taxicabs as well as popular options like Uber, Lyft and Wingz—giving them more flexibility and convenience for their commute.
Water Conservation
at Work
Refurbishments were completed on Riley Terminal restrooms, located on the Arrival (lower) Level in
the Terminals A and B Baggage Claim areas, and across from Gates 8 and 9 on the Departure (upper)
Level. The restrooms now feature new lighting, flooring, decorative tile, low-flow toilets and
urinals, and automatic faucets for water conservation. We’re doing our part to conserve Orange
County’s water resources.
